New year, new accomplishments

The new year has brought along with it new accomplishments by the students of Harding Charter Prep. The Marionette would like to recognize the following students, teams and organizations for their outstanding achievements:
Boys Basketball
The boys basketball team crushed the opposition at the John Nobles tournament last week, beating Moore, Broken Arrow and the No. 4 ranked Douglass High School Trojans. Anselm Uzugebunem was named MVP of the tournament. The boys moved up to #10 in the 4A class after winning the tournament. Congrats, Eagles!
Girls Basketball
After a rough start to the year, the girls basketball team came out on top at the Crooked Oak tournament last weekend. Congrats, ladies!
Speech and Debate
The speech and debate team cleaned up at the Putnam City Invitational tournament last weekend, sweeping several events and qualifying many students for the regional tournament in March. Congratulations to the following students:

All State Choir
Congratulations to Hannah Mitchell and Kennedy Franklin, seniors, for their performance with the Oklahoma Music Educator’s Association All State Choir this weekend. Mitchell and Franklin are the first vocal music students from HCP to make this prestigious group. Congrats!
Awesome Eagles
Congratulations to Elizabeth Ponce, Sofie Gutierrez, Kassem El-Samad and Kacy Barr II, our January Awesome Eagles!
Academic Team
Congratulations to the Academic Team for winning the Area tournament earlier this month. The team will compete on February 6 to advance further in the competition. Good luck!
