The historically-inspired dramatic comedy "Green Book" tells the story of an African-American pianist, Dr. Don Shirley, on a concert tour of the Jim Crow era Deep South. Shirley enlists the help of slick-talking Italian nightclub bouncer, Tony Lip, for protection on his tour. As the two polar opposites embark on their comedic journey, they develop a life-long friendship. The title of the film come from "green books," which served as hotel and travel guides for African-Americans traveling through the Jim Crow south.
